BlackBerry phone running Android OS

The BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) App for Android and iOS will be out this month. A move that the BlackBerry company hopes to compete with other messengers such as Viber and WhatsApp. But such move will surely hurt the sales of BlackBerry phones and current BlackBerry phone owners, especially those BBM users, will probably switch Samsung S4 or iPhone 5 as their next phone because of better design and more Apps to download.

The BlackBerry company did not realize that the reason why they still have die-hard customers is because of the great features of BBM and affordable BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) service fee. So instead of making BBM available to Android or iOS, the company should have considered creating new BlackBerry phones that will run Android OS with integrated BlackBerry features such as BIS and BBM. With this move, the BlackBerry company will surely compete with Samsung and eventually bring back former BlackBerry users.
